Why it is invisible
Portals and web forms produce a record somewhere. WhatsApp produces a notification on a phone. The enquiry is real, the conversation happens, and none of it reaches the company. The brokerage cannot report on the channel, cannot review what was promised, and cannot recover the relationship when the agent moves on.
- The conversation lives on a personal device
- No response measurement on the channel
- A manager cannot see what was committed
- The history leaves with the agent
What connecting it changes
A first message from a number nobody has spoken to creates a contact and a lead on a whatsapp source, with the client own words as the note. From that point it behaves like any other lead: routing assigns an owner, the response window starts, and every message is on the timeline alongside the calls and the viewings.
- A new number creates a contact and a lead
- The client own words captured as the note
- Routing and response SLA apply as normal
- Messages on the same timeline as calls and viewings
Templates and the rules around them
Business messaging platforms distinguish between replying inside an active conversation and initiating a new one, and initiating generally requires an approved template. Plan for that rather than discovering it: the follow up you want to send two days later is an initiation, not a reply.
Consent is not optional
Messaging somebody who did not ask to be messaged is a liability, not a growth tactic, and that is truer in the UAE than in most markets. Record consent against the contact, and keep the ability to suppress somebody permanently.
How Clix handles it
Clix connects to WhatsApp Business Cloud so conversations can be sent, received and logged against the lead. An inbound message from an unknown number creates the contact and the lead on the whatsapp source. Contact consent is recorded. Bulk and sequenced campaigns are part of the Marketing Hub, which is in development and on the Clix roadmap rather than available today.
